The Windsor Arena, known affectionately as "The Barn," saw its last hockey game Friday night.
The 87-year-old arena played host to the Windsor Lancers who were defeated by the Western Mustangs 5-2.
The third game between the two teams in the best-of-three OUA West men’s hockey final will be on Sunday in London, Ont.
The Barn is one of the oldest indoor hockey rinks with spectator stands; built in 1924 it predates Maple Leaf Gardens.
Along the same lines as Toronto's iconic hockey arena, which is now a Loblaws, the Barn will transform from hockey arena into an urban mall.
The Downtown Windsor Market will have vendor kiosks, a permanent butcher shop, a café and other retail spaces.
