Toronto police are looking for a woman who they say was with the person who killed Mike Pimentel in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Det. Sgt. Wayne Banks told reporters Thursday the woman is a person of interest in the investigation, but was present when Pimentel was fatally stabbed.
Pimentel was stabbed "numerous times" in the intersection of Hanna Avenue and Liberty Street, after leaving a New Year’s Eve party at the Liberty Grand nightclub on the CNE grounds.
Police released a photo of the woman to the public on Thursday, following the release of a physical description earlier this week.
The woman is thought to be between 20 and 30 years of age, and between five-foot-six and five-foot-eight. She has dark hair with long, blonde extensions and was last seen wearing black knee-high boots, a black skirt with a white top and a black waist-length jacket with a design on the back.
Banks said the woman should make contact with police, or contact a lawyer who can contact investigators on her behalf.
