Mysterious memorial appears for Carol King

An unusual memorial to the late Carol King — the Herschel, Sask., woman who died in August under suspicious circumstances — has appeared on the property where she died.
A headstone, makeshift cross, flowers and mysterious message were on display near the spot where her body was discovered after a missing person search in the Herschel area.
The message says "Please don't give him your HATE, he's not WORTH it. The Lord he cam [sic] and got me, and took me far away. Remember, I wasn't in my body when the DEVIL came to play. WHY?"
There was no explanation at the site about who placed the memorial on the rural property, or when it was left.
Over the weekend, King's former home caught fire, resulting in extensive fire and smoke damage.
Police believe an arsonist was responsible, but have made no arrests yet.
Investigation continues
The RCMP continues to investigate King's death. No one has been charged.
Originally from Mattis Point, N.L., the 40-year-old woman moved to Saskatchewan about three years ago.
She was last seen alive Aug. 6 in Herschel, about 150 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
Her vehicle was found in a slough Aug. 10 and her body was discovered Aug 27.
