The government of Saskatchewan is launching a pilot program to expand the scope of pharmacies

Today the Saskatchewan Minister of Health Everett Hindley announced that a small number of pharmacies will begin offering services to test for and prescribe drugs for strep throat and ear infections. It's the first stage of a larger roll out giving those privileges to pharmacies province-wide.
The CBC heard from family doctor Brian Geller and spoke with the CEO of the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan Michael Fougere for their reactions.
