Hey Canada, what're you at?

Tom Power is back to do a virtual check-in with Canadians across the country — from his living room.

"What're you at?" is Tom's friendly Newfoundland way of asking, "How are you?"

In this episode, Tom catches up with familiar pals and new faces, including teachers, frontline workers, famous artists and a special guest from CBC Kids.

Gary the Unicorn

The Studio K Show superstar hugger Gary the Unicorn joins the conversation from under his blanket fort.

Gary the Unicorn is famous for loving hugs, but social distancing means that he has to learn how to hug in a different way. Gary teaches Tom how to send "hug mail" from a safe distance.

Barenaked Ladies

Tom plays banjo along with musical guests the Barenaked Ladies.

Catherine Reitman

Teachers on the homefront

Taking classes online is a big change for most students, especially when your mom or dad is a teacher! Tom chats with teachers and their children to see what it's like for them to work (and learn) from home.

How does teaching home economics work in the virtual classroom? West Vancouver teacher Martina Seo gives Tom some kitchen hacks on how to properly cook pancakes at home.
