We reached out on the Still Standing Facebook page wanting to know: how could someone easily tell that you're a small town-er?

You responded, and these answers were not only hilarious, but almost too relatable. Scroll through to see the best comments we got about living in a small town.

1. When some of your best friendships are started… by accident?

You can immediately tell Kristen M. is from a small town because she says, "My husband once called a wrong number, got to chatting, and ended up inviting the person to our son's wedding."
 

 

2. When you can't have an ugly day at the grocery store because you absolutely will run into someone you know. 

Karen H. says, "When it takes you 3 hours to do groceries because you know everyone."

...and when the grocery store is also a one-stop-shop for… well… everything.

Jane R. says, "When the grocery/liquor/post office are in the same building and they sell fishing/hunting licenses too."

3. When you play a great game — and somehow everyone knows it.

Larry H. says that you know you're from a small town, "when news of your game-winning goal gets home before you do."

4. When the whole town is "up the street."

Hannah M. says you know you're from a small town when, "You have one set of stop lights."

5. When the local book plug looks out for you.

6. When teachers have basically become family members by the time you've graduated.
