Family Feud Canada bloopers: Gerry Dee makes this contestant run 'a marathon'
Watch this contestant run for his money in this hilarious blooper video from Family Feud Canada.
FAST MONEY BLOOPERS
Fast Money is the high-stakes gameplay round in Family Feud Canada. If the contestants get 200 points, they win $10,000. But it doesn't always go so smoothly — just ask contestant Godson Hernandez about his experience during an early-season taping of the show back in November 2019.
"I believe I ran a total of seven times. I lost count after four," says Godson. The contestant from Yellowknife had to run on stage multiple times in this series of outtakes.
BLOOPER VIDEO:
The pressure was on for both Gerry and Godson — $10,000 was on the line for the Hernandez family and it was Gerry's first time hosting Fast Money. Technical goofs didn't make things any easier — at one point, the theme song ran too long and played over Gerry's monologue, prompting another re-take of the scene and yet another sprint for Godson.
"I had a great laugh about it," says Godson. "The audience was getting a good laugh out of it which made it more comical for me to run a little faster each time."
His wife, Melissa Hernandez, had just earned 122 points and Godson only needed 78 points to seal the deal. But after running on stage multiple times, he was starting to feel tired.
"The only thing that was going through my mind was being able to regroup and answer the Fast Money questions after running a marathon," he jokes.
Family Feud Canada isn't Godson's first run at the big time. He has released more than a dozen hip hop albums and has also appeared on Dragons' Den. And for those of you who feel bad about how much Godson had to re-take his run, there was a bit of — totally unintentional —payback for Gerry. In an interview with CBC North, he describes a small injury that took place when Gerry got in on a family hug. "I guess my shoulder or my arm connected with his jaw."
