Canada’s Ultimate Challenge, a must-see TV series, is streaming free on CBC Gem

Canada's Ultimate Challenge is an exciting new reality show that that turns the entire country into a giant obstacle course. Hosted by professional snowboarder Craig McMorris and sportscaster Nikki Reyes, each episode will take place at an iconic Canadian location where six extraordinary coaches will guide and mentor teams of athletic Canadians in a series of physical and mental challenges. 

Coast to coast, Canada becomes an obstacle course
The thrilling action kicks off in Whistler, BC where teams work together to compete in an obstacle relay race all the way to the top of the Whistler Olympic Park Ski Jump. 

In Kelowna, BC, teams pull a plane as fast as they can down a runway. At the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, players rappel down the outside of the landmark castle hotel to the beautiful streets of Old Quebec. And at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park in New Brunswick, tandem teams push a sled through the world-famous Bay of Fundy mud flats.

Six of Canada's most extraordinary athletes mentor and guide teams
Throughout the eight-episode series, the superstar Canadian coaches will make strategic decisions and motivate their players to victory. 

Coaches include: 

  • Sprinting legend and two-time Olympic champion, Donovan Bailey

  • Mohawk from the Kahnawake Territory, Olympian in water polo and advocate for Indigenous sport, Waneek Horn-Miller

  • Six-time Olympic medallist in cycling and speed skating, Clara Hughes

  • Three-time Olympic speed skater Gilmore Junio

  • Former captain of Canada's Olympic bronze medal-winning rugby sevens team, Jen Kish 

  • NFL Super Bowl Champion and competitive cyclist, Luke Willson

Competition will be stiff. "My team's going to approach this competition like warriors. They're going to bring it to every second, every moment. We're going to fight for it. And we're going to win it," says Waneek Horn-Miller. "It's time to let your hair down and let it rip," says football champ Luke Wilson, "I want all the smoke. I want my team to set the standard for all the challenges."
