Battle of the Blades returns to CBC for a new season this fall. Rob MacLean is back, joined by JUNO-Award winning singer, host, actor, songwriter and humanitarian Keshia Chanté.

About Keshia Chanté 

Keshia Chanté is one of Canada's top entertainers and most versatile artists. Born in Ottawa and raised in Toronto, Chanté is proud of her multi-ethnic background of Portuguese, Puerto Rican and Trinidadian descent. 

A superstar singer since the age of 14, Chanté now has over 18 years of experience in the entertainment industry (with four albums to show for it). Chanté has received numerous accolades for her chart-topping hits and was also given a star on Walk of Fame in Brampton for her achievements in Canadian music & film.

As a TV host and personality, Chanté has conducted coveted interviews with First Lady Michelle Obama, Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg and many more. 

She was previously co-host of the #1 Music Show on Television, BET's 106 & Park alongside Bow Wow. She's currently a co-host on Entertainment Tonight Canada. 

Chanté's philanthropic efforts extend from Canada to Africa. She served as Youth Ambassador for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), volunteered time in Africa with CANFAR to build schools, volunteered in Dominican Republic with World Vision and performed with Alicia Keys for the Keep A Child Alive fundraising concert. 

About Ron MacLean

Watching Ron MacLean has been a Canadian tradition for more than 25 years. He is a Canadian icon and a multiple award-winning sports broadcaster, best known for his roles on Hockey Night in Canada and Rogers Hometown Hockey in addition to his quick wit and encyclopedic knowledge.

He is a two-time George Gross Award recipient, honouring excellence in sports broadcasting, and was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2015, alongside Don Cherry. MacLean has been part of the Battle of the Blades family since the beginning, and brings his extensive knowledge of hockey and figure skating to the role of host once again, in addition to his comedic charm and ease of refereeing the pairs' and judges' comments.
