'A Little Bit Alexis' is a whole lot viral on TikTok
A scene from Schitt's Creek has TikTokers dancing like no one's watching.
Alexis Rose's (Annie Murphy) titular song off of her critically reviewed, limited reality series A Little Bit Alexis went viral on TikTok and has now evolved into so much more. The kids and moms are doing it. There are even COVID-19 tips associated with it.
Murphy had high hopes for the song and a lot of thought went into creating it.
"We knew that it had to be a joke, and we knew that it had to be a spoof," said Murphy in an interview with Tom Power on CBC Radio's q, explaining that two of her friends from the Canadian band Hollerado helped create the music for the song while she wrote the lyrics.
"At the same time, all three of us secretly wanted to make a banger … we pulled out all the stops and did all the poppy hooks."
Goal achieved! Murphy also performed the hell out of it.
And now fans from around the world are fiercely recreating her dance on TikTok — the outfit, the hair, the moves, demeanour, everything — and they're impressive!
Is this real Alexis?
Patrick???
This kid is excited for Mommy.
Fans are even debuting on TikTok with #ALittleBitAlexis.
Opting to just sing is also okay.

Another huge fan of the show, Kelly Clarkson has added her own twist to this staple track teaming up with none other than Alexis herself for a rendition of this seminal moment in Schitt's Creek history.
Annie Murphy explains how the song actually came about.
And because we appreciate you, here's the fully mixed song that you can listen to. Be careful though, it's an earworm.
