France defender William Gallas looks to be recovering well from a calf injury in his bid to play in the World Cup, which begins next month in South Africa.
Gallas hurt his left calf muscle playing for Arsenal several weeks ago, forcing him to miss the last few games of the season, but has been responding well to individual training sessions at the French team's training camp in the French Alps.
Gallas trained normally with rest of team in Friday's group training session, as he did Thursday, giving coach Raymond Domenech more cause for optimism.
Domenech may look to test Gallas in a friendly against Costa Rica in Lens on Wednesday to see if his calf stands up to the demands of a full game.
