Senators-Penguins kick off 2nd round of playoffs Tuesday
Kings host Sharks Tuesday, Chicago-Detroit begin Wednesday
It's official: The Ottawa Senators will continue their Stanley Cup playoff run on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh.
The NHL announced that puck drop for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal will take place at Consol Energy Center just after 7:30 p.m. ET, the first game of the second round of the playoffs.
The Penguins and Senators are meeting in the playoffs for the third time in five years.
The Los Angeles Kings will host the San Jose Sharks in a Western series on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET.
The following night, Presidents' Trophy winners the Chicago Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings in their series opener at 8 p.m. ET.
The NHL said it will announce more second round dates after the first round is completed on Monday night. Toronto visits Boston in Game 7 of their first round series (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 6:30 p.m. ET), while Washington and the New York Rangers also need a final game to settle their Eastern series.
