	1. MONTREAL ALOUETTES [up from 3] Overall record: 10-4 Streak: One win What always impresses about the Alouettes is their ability to make needed adjustments. Example: The club is giving up far too much downfield in medium and long passes. So they fixed it against the Stamps and were great. Congratulations to Ben Cahoon, No. 1 in CFL history for receptions and a first-class person to boot.
	2. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS [unchanged] Overall record: 9-5 Streak: One loss Another missed opportunity, this time against Toronto where the Riders gave up far too many yards on the ground and couldn’t get their own offence going. They should have been tied with the Stamps heading for Sunday’s showdown with Calgary in Regina.
	3. CALGARY STAMPEDERS [down from 1] Overall record: 10-4 Streak: One win The White Stallions have lost three of their last four games and are looking beatable. Five turnovers are just unacceptable for a team this talented and well-coached. It was as though they all thought a split with the Als in the back-to-back was inevitable and they had the first win, so what the heck. Now the Riders on the road.
	4. HAMILTON TIGER-CATS [up from 5] Overall record: 7-7 Streak: One win QB Kevin Glenn looked great. Receiver Arland Bruce looked great. One turnover, that was pretty good. Defence was solid. None of this will matter to the fans much if the Cats can’t beat the Argos this Friday night down the highway in Hogtown with second place on the line.
	5. TORONTO ARGONAUTS [up from 6] Overall record: 7-7 Streak: One win Yes, the Double Blue are doing it with magic – call it guts and mirrors, if you’d like – but what ever works. As teams get more film on these special teams tricks, however, it won’t work nearly as well, so that means playing some good offensive football is required. Still working on that, but huge credit for knocking off the Riders.
	6. B.C. LIONS [down from 4] Overall record: 5-9 Streak: One loss How did they let this one get away? Boneheaded penalties, that’s how. Davis Sanchez, who is on the wrong side of the thin line, is lucky he wasn’t forced to walk home after his two brain cramps led to a key single point. That eventually allowed a field goal to tie it in regulation and send the game with Winnipeg to an overtime the Leos lost. Unfathomable.
	7. WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS [up from 8] Overall record: 4-10 Streak: One win If that was really coach Paul LaPolice’s decision to sit QB Steven Jyles in favour of Alex Brink, then shame on him. We’re suspicious it came from higher up. That said, how about those Bombers? Led by Jyles, off the bench, they clawed all the way back, kept their cool, turned on the league’s best fans and won the day. To pass B.C. for a cross over playoff spot, they have to finish with a better record, remember.
	8. EDMONTON ESKIMOS [down from 7] Overall record: 4-10 Streak: One loss The defence ran out of gas, the offence never had any. They need to at least try to run a bit more. Still, two wins out of three is not bad for a team that had struggled so badly. Could still sneak into the playoffs with a game at B.C. this week and just two points behind the Lions.
