Cree speaking Pukatawagan puppets aim to preserve language and culture

Mathias, Marcel and Thimble are puppets from Pukatawagan Cree Nation in northern Manitoba.
Their funny videos shot in the Cree language have been going viral since last summer. The men behind the puppets are brothers Ken, Russell, and Danny Bighetty. They, too, are from Pukatawagan Cree Nation.
The Bighetty & Bighetty Puppet show began in 2012 and since then, the puppets have built a life of their own. Look for them on Facebook.
