Stepping up and speaking out is never easy. Especially when you're the only one standing there. But sometimes it only takes one person to make big changes.

Fynnley Pearson is a blond, blue-eyed boy with an Indian status card. And while that card says he is a member of Garden Hill First Nation in Manitoba, Fynn has never stepped foot on his home reserve before. Find out what happened when he and his mom, Meagan Fiddler, made his first visit to his First Nation for his great-grandfather's 92nd birthday.

Coming out as gay can be difficult at the best of times, but when you're Indigenous and live in a small community
declaring your sexuality can be dangerous. Growing up in Squamish, B.C., Trevor Blackman-Wulff was bullied, gay bashed and shunned by family. But he's come a long way since those dark days. 

Many young people look for jobs during the summer or on weekends. But for Dillon Trodd, getting a job is more than just making a little extra cash. And in Prince Rupert, B.C., where jobs are in short supply, he came up with an innovative way to get attention.
