Why Adrian Morris of Juno Award-nominated Neon Dreams is a fan of a memoir by Blink-182's Travis Barker

In 2020, Neon Dreams was nominated for a Juno Award for breakthrough group of the year. The Halifax band is an alternative pop duo made up of vocalist Frank Kadillac and drummer Adrian Morris.
Neon Dream's Morris dropped by The Next Chapter to tell us all about the book he's currently reading and why.
"Right now, I'm reading Can I Say by Travis Barker with Gavin Edwards. It's a book that follows Travis's career — and he's very well known for playing in the band Blink-182 — from the beginning to the present day.
"I find the book interesting because he's very honest and open. He doesn't glorify his life, like a lot of other musician autobiographies are glorified and only show the good side of fame. He doesn't skip over any aspect of the journey of his career.
"The cool thing about the book is it actually covers nearly every band that he was in — including Feeble, the very first band he played in, and the Aquabats, Blink-182, Boxcar Racer and Transplants and his collaboration with DJ AM.
I would recommend this book to anyone that's involved with the music industry and a fan of Travis Barker.
"Barker and DJ AM were in a plane crash, where the plane overshot the runway. It was an awful crash where Barker and DJ AM were the only people that survived. There were a lot of things that had to change in his life. He was a vegan but he had to start eating meat again through the recovery process, in addition to the emotional trauma he endured of going through something like that.
"I would recommend this book to anyone that's involved with the music industry and a fan of Travis Barker. But I also recommend it to anybody that's just a fan of music in general. Barker had a wild career, not only as a musician but as a human."
