Liberal government outlines to-do list in Speech from the Throne

This week on The House, interim Conservative Leader Rona Ambrose and NDP Leader Tom Mulcair react to the Speech from the Throne. The Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Amarjeet Sohi, outlines how the government plans to spend billions on infrastructure projects. Then, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall joins us to talk about what a "Canadian climate change" plan might look like.

This week on The House, following Friday's 15-minute Speech from the Throne, titled "Making Real Change Happen," we talk to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Amarjeet Sohi, about the government's key commitment to spend billions of dollars on infrastructure projects.

Then, the interim Leader of the Conservative Party Rona Ambrose and the NDP Leader Tom Mulcair join us to react to the Speech from the Throne.

The Minister of Democratic Institutions Maryam Monsef and Government House Leader Dominic LeBlanc explain the Liberals' approach to the Senate, and how they hope senators will make their institution more accountable and less partisan.

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, also joins us to express his frustration at being referred to as the "dissenting Canadian voice" at the Paris Climate Change Conference and warns against the implementation of a national carbon tax.

Finally, In House panelists Susan Delacourt, political writer and columnist for the Toronto Star, and Mark Kennedy, parliamentary bureau chief for the Ottawa Citizen, break down the Speech from the Throne.
