The government has put its plan on the table: a 12-month extension to the current mission to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, and an expansion of the current airstrikes that would now include dropping bombs in Syria.

No extra troops. No soldiers on the ground in Syria. But a heated debate in Ottawa.
