What would Tom Mulcair do?

It's not surprising that a pre-election budget would not get rave reviews from the Official Opposition. But with a small surplus and little fiscal room to manoeuvre, how will NDP leader be able to pay for his promises?

With this week's budget, the Conservatives have put their cards on the table. They will campaign on having balanced the books while managing to offer a series of targeted measures that, they hope, will convince enough Canadians to vote for them in the fall.

Now it's up to the opposition parties to share their fiscal plan for the country.

How would they pay for their promises? How would they stimulate growth? The leader of the Official Opposition Tom Mulcair joins us.

We also talk to Liberal finance critic Scott Brison to get his assessment of the budget and press him for details on when his party will start releasing its fiscal plan.
