Peace in the House: A not-so-religious Jew and her Orthodox siblings

What happens inside a fairly secular family, when one sibling decides to get super devoted? We bring you a light-hearted but poignant documentary about the unorthodox ways a family changes when a brother and son embrace an orthodox faith.
In her documentary "Peace in the House," the CBC's Danielle Nerman uses a family reunion to confront her feelings, and seek the true reasons behind her siblings' decisions.

Last month — on the first night of Passover — we brought you Danielle Nerman's story of how she confronted the tensions in her family head-on. Danielle is a producer with the CBC. She's Jewish, but not terribly religious.

Her brother, on the other hand, is very devout. It's been 18 years since she and her brother set out on very different paths. Earlier this year, Danielle decided it was time to address the distance between them.

This is Danielle's documentary, Peace in the House. It first aired on The Current in April.

The Current's Documentary Editor is Joan Webber.
