Secure release of Reverend Lim from North Korea, says Minister Pak
Friday, Canadian officials confirmed that a Canadian citizen - Reverend Hyeon Soo Lim -- had been detained in North Korea. He was supposed to have come home from a trip there on February 4th. But he didn't return. The South Korean-born pastor has visited North Korea more than 100 times on various aid missions.
Reverend Lim is the head of the three thousand-strong Light Korean Presbyterian Church in Toronto.
Lisa Pak is a long-time friend of the reverend who's now a minister at the Church herself. She says the Canadian government must act quickly to get Reverend Lim back in Canada because he has health issues.
Lisa Pak joined us in our Toronto studio.
