Today on The Current:

  • Justin Shephard, a promising high school basketball star, was 19 when he was gunned down near his Toronto home in 2001. Nearly two decades later, his mother Audette is still waiting for someone to come forward and identify the shooter. The Current is exploring gun violence in Canada this week with our series One Bullet; we start with Audette's story, Waiting for a Witness.
  • Some women in Canada's Muslim community have learned their husbands are married to second wives. They believe this is their own #MeToo moment, an opportunity to speak out and demand an end to the practice of polygamy in their community.
  • In Britain this week, a divided House of Commons will vote on Theresa May's Brexit deal. We take a look at what's at stake.
