Today on The Current

A prominent Quebec cardinal, who is regarded as a potential successor to Pope Francis, is among 88 members of the clergy facing allegations of sexual assault as part of a new class action lawsuit against the archdiocese of Quebec. Guest host Michelle Shephard talks to Justin Wee, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiffs; the CBC's Vatican analyst David Perlich; and residential school survivor Evelyn Korkmaz, a founding member of Ending Clergy Abuse.

Then, we continue our series Afghanistan: A Year Under The Taliban. Aid worker Samira Sayed Rahman discusses the humanitarian crisis gripping Afghanistan; and Canadian Armed Forces veteran Amanda Moddejonge talks about ongoing efforts to resettle Afghans who worked with the Canadian government.

And in a conversation from June, chef Adrian Forte talks to Matt Galloway about being a role model for young Black chefs and educating diners about the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.
