New research by two linguistic researchers reveal animated Disney princess movies are short of one key thing: Women with dominant speaking roles.
Karen Eisenhauer is a masters student in linguistics at North Carolina University who has been working on this study. Eisenhauer was a fan of princesses as a child and says she was surprised by her research, especially with regards to the so-called renaissance of Disney films from the 90s.
