The man who led the Agency on that day was Leon Panetta. Mr. Panetta has also been at the helm during some of the decade's greatest triumphs. He's held two of the most important jobs in U.S. security.
From 2009 until 2011, he was the Director of the CIA. And from 2011 until just last year he was the U.S. Secretary of Defence. He is also the author of the new book Worthy Fights: A Memoir of Leadership in War and Peace.
