Women Against Feminism: What does it mean to be a feminist today?
Wonder Woman may have been the epitome of the strong, independently-minded woman of the 70s. But as she undergoes a mainstream makeover for a modern audience, comic book artist David Finch drew a new line on the character.
He told Comic Book Resources, "We want her to be a strong - I don't want to say feminist - but a strong character." His rejection of Diana's feminist roots caused quite a backlash.
While Finch later said he regretted his choice of words, it seems unlikely that the women behind these recent words take them back anytime soon...
