Kathy Gannon was one of the first Western journalists let back into Afghanistan by the Taliban after 9/11

If you've read more than a handful of news stories about Afghanistan, you've probably read one of Kathy Gannon's. She's spent 18 years there for the Associated Press. She watched the Soviet army roll out ... the civil war take hold ... the Taliban seize power ... and the American army roll in. Covering the current Presidential elections wasn't supposed to be so dangerous.
