The federal government is increasingly speaking directly to the people of Canada through ads, social media and video blogs. Critics and media pundits say they are trying to do an end run around the kind of critical questions they face from the media, to sell their own version of the news to the public. We'll put that argument to Jason Lietaer, a communications consultant who has worked with the Conservative Party, to see how he reacts to the idea that this strategy is akin to propaganda.
