Why you should dance at the symphony
CBC Radio 2 host Paolo Pietropaolo argues that the classical concert experience is too stifling, and people need to be free to move.
Thou shalt not cough. Thou shalt not talk. Thou shalt not even budge.
Those are the commandments of attending a classical music concert, according CBC Radio 2 host Paolo Pietropaolo. Inspired by a trip to China, where classical concerts are a lot more animated than in North America, Paolo says we should loosen up at the symphony.
In this piece, he makes the case that we should move to the music.
Paolo Pietropaolo is host of In Concert whichs airs Sundays at 11:00 am, 11:30 in Newfoundland, on CBC Radio 2.
