One senator's concerns about the Reform Act
The Reform Act made it through the House of Commons with overwhelming support, but it faces a bigger challenge in the Senate. Newfoundland and Labrador Senator David Wells tells us why he's not sold on the bill.
The Reform Act, a bill proposing to change the way parties and caucuses operate, made it through the House of Commons with overwhelming support. Now, MPs like the bill's creator Michael Chong, are pushing for the same to happen in the Senate. But Chong's fellow Conservative, Senator David Wells, isn't convinced.
He joins Jim to discuss his concerns with the bill, and to explain why he and his colleagues want to give it a second thought instead of just rubber-stamping it.
