Taking action for neutral washrooms

Some Canadian schools have started installing gender-neutral washrooms. At others, students are pushing for change. We meet one student who staged a confrontation calling for more neutrality on campus.

This week, students at Simon Fraser University in B.C. staged a sit-in. What did they want? The chance to sit in gender-neutral washrooms. The facilities are becoming more common on Canadian campuses, and will even be added when new public schools are built in Calgary. But so far, there are few options for SFU students who are uncomfortable in male or female washrooms. We'll speak to protest organizer Nathan Lyndsay to learn more.
