Vancouver is not really Canada

This winter has highlighted the divide between Vancouver, and the rest of Canada: one has blossoms in February, while the other sits in deep freeze. Vancouverite Steve Burgess says this is the real two solitudes.

While much of Canada suffers a cold, snowy, winter, Vancouverites are basking in rare-for-February sunshine, and walking under canopies of early cherry blossoms. Writer and west coast resident Steve Burgess says it's time for everyone to accept that Vancouver just isn't Canada.
