Known as the "man with the golden flute",  Sir James Galway has sold over 30 million recordings.

He has earned numerous awards: "The Classic Brit's Lifetime Achievement Award", "The National Flute Association's Lifetime Achievement Award" and "The Grammy's President's Merit Award", to name just a few.

He has received an Order of the British Empire, and a knighthood for his services to music. And now in celebration of his upcoming 75th birthday, all of Sir James' recordings have been released in a boxed set containing over 71 CDs.

Quite astonishing for a working-class lad known as "Jimmy", who got his start playing in flute bands at church halls and in the streets of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Sir James Galway will be performing -- with his wife, Lady Jeanne Galway -- on Saturday, October 25th at Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
