Guest host Peter Armstrong

The Sunday Edition is pleased to welcome Peter Armstrong as our guest-host for the program of October 14, 2018.

Peter is CBC's Senior Business Correspondent. He brings a wealth of reporting experience, and an energy and enthusiasm that is infectious.

Peter is an award-winning journalist who has covered three wars and reported in French and English from four continents. In Afghanistan, he was embedded with Canadian, U.S. and British Troops. He has covered the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, travelling through Israel, The West Bank and the Gaza Strip. He also reported live from Barack Obama's ancestral village in Kenya the night of the American presidential election in 2008.

Peter has worked in CBC locations across Canada, beginning in Quebec City with stops in Saint John, Toronto, Ottawa's Parliamentary Bureau and Vancouver. 

Peter is originally from Oakville, Ont. and is fluent in French and English. He is a graduate of Acadia University in Nova Scotia and completed his journalism studies at Université Laval in Quebec City.

Armstrong is married to Piya Chattopadhyay, the host of CBC Radio's "Out in the Open".
