'Shut up! I'm thinking!': CBC personalities face off in our game for word nerds

We round out the year with our lively word game that pits devious definitions against cutting repartee. Our contestants are Ron MacLean of Hockey Night in Canada; Shaun Majumder, actor, comedian and cast member of This Hour Has 22 Minutes; and our colleague, the host of Spark on CBC Radio, Nora Young.

There appears to be a word for almost everything, if you know what it is. That is the basis of our annual game, "Shut Up! I'm Thinking."

Three contestants invent definitions for words they've never heard of, then guess each word's true meaning. Some people know it as "The Dictionary Game" and others play it as "Balderdash."

Our contestants this year are Ron MacLean, who has been hosting Hockey Night in Canada for about three decades; Nora Young, the founding host of Spark, CBC Radio's program about technology and culture; and Shaun Majumder, actor, comedian and cast member of This Hour Has 22 Minutes on CBC Television.
