The Trump show is coming to town — and so is The Sunday Edition

Michael Enright looks ahead to the Republican National Convention, which will roll out in Cleveland from July 18 - 31. 50,000 people will descend on the "mistake by the lake" for four days of political spectacle. The convention promises to be as volatile and unprecedented as the campaign which has produced Donald Trump, the unlikeliest nominee in the party's — and the country's — history.

This week, Cleveland, Ohio will play host to about 50,000 visitors, who are descending on the city for the Republican National Convention.

That number includes political delegates, protesters and about 15,000 media from around the world and of course, Donald Trump.

Among the visitors will be Michael Enright and Sunday Edition producer Talin Vartanian. They'll be collecting material for a special broadcast of the program on July 24. Michael will also be writing analysis pieces for CBC News, and will appear on The World at Six, with Susan Bonner. He'll also do his first-ever experiment with interactive social media. Sometime mid-week, he'll invite questions about the convention during a Facebook Live event.

Michael sat down with guest-host Laura Lynch for a preview of the week to come.
