Guest host David Gray

We are delighted to welcome the host of The Calgary Eyeopener, David Gray, as guest-host for our programs of August 20 and August 27. With more two decades of experience as a journalist, David has covered stories around the world. For seven years, he was a travelling correspondent for CBC TV's top-rated business documentary program, Venture.

Gray is a former president of the Alberta Press Gallery and for six years was the national host of CBC News: Today on Newsworld. He has also hosted The Business Network on CBC Radio One, and has been a guest-host on CBC Radio's Cross Country Checkup and As It Happens.

Gray has won a variety of national and international awards for his documentary work, including three gold medals at the New York Festival of Festivals.

David Gray hosts the number one morning radio show, The Calgary Eyeopener, which gives Calgarians their morning information with a teaspoon of wit and a dollop of attitude.

In his spare time, he plays with the Calgary-based roots rock band, Sweet Potato. David and his wife, Kim, have two children.
