Daniel Kress and fellow researchers at Stanford University's BIRD Lab have found inspiration for camera stabilization on drones in an unusual place - the necks of whooper swans. Their necks could inspire the future design of a camera suspension system that would allow drone cameras to record steadier video and make drones safer.
