In our occasional feature, a listener asks how many stars can be seen in the sky?This is another edition of our occasional feature, the Quirks & Quarks Question Period. And today's question comes from Terry Brown of Lakelse, B.C., who asks "How many stars can I see when I look up on a clear night?"

For the answer, we looked up to find Dr. Robert Cockcroft, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Physics and Astronomy Department at McMaster University in Hamilton, and the Manager of the McCallion Planetarium. He says the answer is about 2,500, with the naked eye.
