Gemini Man is a new movie from director Ang Lee, the creator of Academy Award-winning films like Brokeback Mountain, Life of Pi and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

The sci-fi action movie follows an elite government assassin named Harry Brogan (played by Will Smith) who suddenly becomes targeted by a young operative who can predict his every move. He soon learns that the man who's trying to kill him is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.

The film has been over 20 years in the making because that younger version of Smith was created digitally.

Lee joined q's Tom Power live in studio to share why he's using technology as a tool to tell deeply human, emotional stories.

Gemini Man hits theatres this Friday, Oct. 11.
