Loreena McKennitt's journey to save the 'Lost Souls'
Canadian musician Loreena McKennitt joins Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about her new album Lost Souls, her first collection of new music since 2006.
You probably know Loreena McKennitt as the gifted soprano who's sold millions of records, but she also runs her own label, was awarded the Order of Canada in 2013 and she's an Honorary Colonel of the Royal Canadian Air Force. With all that going on, you can probably understand why her new album, Lost Souls, is her first collection of new music since 2006.
McKennitt has been thinking about some of these songs for a long time, but there are others, like the title track, that take a good hard look at who we are as humans in 2018. She joins Tom Power live in the q studio to talk about her new album and perform a few songs at the Glenn Gould piano.
