Glass Tiger's Alan Frew on recovering from his stroke to release the band's latest album 31

Alan Frew of Glass Tiger talks about celebrating the band's 31st anniversary with a new album of reimagined classic songs.

After experiencing massive success with a string of hits like "Don't Forget Me," "Thin Red Line" and "Animal Heart," Canadian rock band Glass Tiger stretched that success into a decades long career. But celebrations for the band's 30th anniversary hit a snag when lead singer Alan Frew suffered a stroke in 2015. Thankfully, Frew has now made a full recovery and he and the band are back with a new record, 31. They've brought along country music artist Johnny Reid to show them a new path in their fourth decade. It's an album that reimagines their hits with traditional acoustic instruments like fiddles and bodhrán.

On today's show, Alan Frew talks to host Tom Power about the new album and Glass Tiger's decades long success.
