Cynthia Dale on her new musical, Fun Home, and reprising her role as Olivia Novak in the Street Legal reboot

There's a good chance you know who Cynthia Dale is. For more than 20 years, she's been one of Canada's most beloved actors of the stage and screen. Maybe you've seen her at the Stratford Festival where she's played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Queen Guinevere in Camelot. Or, if you watched television in the '80s and '90s, you'll remember her as Olivia Novak, the ambitious, risk-taking young lawyer on the CBC drama Street Legal. It's a role she just might have the chance to revisit, given the recent buzz about a possible Street Legal reboot. 

Now, Dale returns to the stage for Fun Home — a musical about a woman reflecting back on her childhood, her relationship with her father and her sexual identity. She talks to Ali Hassan about her role in the new production, and shares what's in the works regarding the Street Legal revival.
