Last night, everything changed for Michael Redhill. The Toronto novelist, poet and playwright won the Giller Prize for his novel, Bellevue Square. The Giller is the most lucrative prize in Canadian literature, and five authors were up for the $100,000 prize.
Redhill's novel is part mystery, part thriller, and it follows Jean Mason, a woman who finds out that she may have a doppelganger in the Toronto neighbourhood of Kensington Market. So, she decides to investigate, and things unfold from there.
Today, Redhill joins Tom Power in the studio to discuss his big win.
