Funeral songs: Revered Australian musician Paul Kelly uses death as a muse on latest album

Paul Kelly might not be that well known in North America, but in Australia the singer is revered as much as legendary singers like Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

His latest album, Death's Dateless Night, in collaboration with friend Charlie Owen, is a collection of funeral songs.

Kelly and Owen stopped by Studio q to chat with Tom Power, performing "To Live is to Fly" and "Nukkanya" from the new album.

They also discuss the different ways their music has been received at home and abroad and the subsequent challenges that have arisen in attracting audiences worldwide.
