Neko Case on her new album Hell-On and losing her house to fire
If your home was burning down and you had to get out right away, what would you take with you? When Neko Case lost her home in a fire she didn't find out the answer to that question because she wasn't there. Case was in Sweden, recording her first solo album in five years, Hell-On.
Even before the fire, it was a challenging time for Case. She was producing her new album herself after spending the previous few years devoting her energy to the band the New Pornographers and her collaborative project with KD Lang and Laura Viers.
Case dropped by the q studio to talk about her new album Hell-On and describe what it was like to receive a call that should have been life-changing, but ended up being life-affirming. Her new album is out Friday, June 1.
