If you don't recognise Nell Scovell's name, you'd no doubt remember the hit shows she's written for. In a career spanning 30 years, Scovell has written for The Simpsons, Murphy Brown and Late Night with David Letterman. She also created Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Scovell has enjoyed an enviable career, but often as the only woman in the writers' room, she's had to endure discrimination and harassment no-one would wish for. She talks to guest host Laurie Brown about staying funny, sharp and sane in the Hollywood boys' club.
Her new memoir, Just the Funny Parts: … And a Few Hard Truths About Sneaking into the Hollywood Boys' Club is out now.
