Golden egg stolen from $2.8M Salvador Dali sculpture in downtown Vancouver

This past weekend, in the middle of downtown Vancouver, a $2.8 million bronze sculpture by the famed surrealist artist Salvador Dali was vandalized.

Titled Space Venus, the 3.5-metre bronze sculpture of a woman's torso featured a golden egg, which disappeared sometime in the middle of the night and was discovered to be missing on Sunday morning. The sculpture belongs to the Chali-Rosso Art Gallery, a private gallery in downtown Vancouver, and it was meant to be exhibited until October.
