Actor and comedian Sam Richardson plays the affable and oblivious Richard Splett on the HBO political comedy Veep.

The character shatters all the usual tropes of political TV shows because, unlike every other character on Veep, Richard Splett is a genuinely good guy, if not a little naive.

Richardson joined q's Tom Power to talk about his time on the show and how the current political climate impacted the show's final season.
