Thandie Newton is a Hollywood actor who you might recognize from the HBO series Westworld or from the Oscar-winning film Crash. She's been acting for nearly 30 years, since she was just 16, and she's spent a lot of that time speaking up about the ways she's been exploited as an actor.
Tom Power sat down with Newton at the Toronto International Film Festival, where #MeToo is a major theme this year. Newton was in Toronto for the world premiere of her new movie The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, which is the first English-language film from Canadian director Xavier Dolan.
